Vice Chancellor urges staff to be more productive in their daily activities

Kigali: On 22nd January 2019, remarked Rwanda Polytechnic staff induction and the swearing-in ceremony of new staff at Rwanda TVET Trainer Institute (RTTI).

In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor of Rwanda Polytechnic Dr. James Gashumba expressed gratitude to RP staff for their efforts to make it fulfill its mandate.

Moreover, Dr. James Gashumba urged staff to be more productive in their daily activities to make Rwanda Polytechnic a bright institution in international level. He further expressed that the government of Rwanda strives for providing a quality education that complies with applicable standards through vocational education that enables beneficiaries to acquire skills required to create jobs and compete in the labor market.

He added that rich people in developed countries who have good houses and cars are those ones who attended TVET schools, and told them that they need to copy from them and help young Rwandans to build a new Rwanda we want.

He went on to say that, they had to be the agents of change in branding Rwanda Polytechnic and drive away the negative perception about TVET Schools. He reminded them to work as a team as a tool of progress.

 

Dr. Alex Luberwa, the Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Administration and Finance pledged staff to work hand in hand to fulfill their responsibilities.
