The Minister of State in Charge of TVET Olivier RWAMUKWAYA and Minister of Higher Education in Burkina Faso, Minister of State for TVET in Angola have visited RP and IPRC Kigali

 On 27th September2018, the Minister of TVET Olivier RWAMUKWAYA and Hon.Prof. Alkassoum. Amiga, Minister of Higher Education in Burkina Faso, Jesus J. Baptiste Minister of State for TVET in Angola visited Rwanda Polytechnic and IPRC Kigali and appreciated the TVET skills offered to youth for quick employment.

After visiting different workshops and labs in IPRC Kigali in training areas of Mechanical, Welding, ICT Lab and Multimedia, they were impressed by heavy TVET investments related appropriate training equipments which will help students to get more skills.

Minister Rwamukwaya mentioned that students getting involved in production of various items sold in Kigali market places such as furnitures, beds, and chairs. He also proposed that it is important to initiate cooperation with Burkina Faso and Angola in order to share best practices especially in Mining, Textiles, Energy, Etc.

They also discussed on various issues related to opportunities and challenges of building a technology based educational systems during the event of eLearning Africa which took place in Kigali from 26th to 28 under the theme “Towards a knowledge-based Economy” During this conference, more than 1000 ICT professionals from Africa and beyond have participated. The conference has offered a unique opportunity to gain invaluable insights into the evolving world of ICT enhanced learning.
