Rwanda Polytechnic together with its Development Partners attended the “National Dialogue on TVET for Youth employment and Future of Work”

On 19th May, 2022, the Minister of Education of Rwanda officiated the National Dialogue on TVET for Youth employment & Future of Work organized by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Labour through Rwanda TVET Board, Rwanda Polytechnic and other stakeholders of TVET in Rwanda. This took place at Intare Conference Arena.

The main objective of this dialogue was to increase TVET awareness for more job creation & Youth employment through a sound Private sector engagement.

The dialogue was attended by members of PSF Rwanda, Schools, Government Institutions and TVET authorities from Kenya, Burundi, DRC and South Africa.

Participants 

During the Dialogue, there had been a series of discussions to engage stakeholders, potential employers, public institutions, Universities, Polytechnic to improve Workplace Learning opportunities, entrepreneurship, innovation & skills matching for better future of our youth.

During the breakout session, Parfait YONGABO, the Division Manager in charge of Institutional Development, Applied Research & Consultancy at Rwanda Polytechnic presented on TVET and Innovation where he showed the current status, achievements, challenges and opportunities of TVET & Innovation in general.

The National Dialogue on TVET for Youth employment and Future for work was officially closed by the Minister of State in Charge of ICT and TVET Honorable Claudette IRERE after recognizing private Compagnies for their support in TVET and Workplace Learning.
