Rwanda Polytechnic hosted its 7th Graduation Ceremony
On 09th May 2024, Rwanda Polytechnic hosted its 7th Graduation Ceremony at the prestigious BK Arena. This graduating class of 2024 consists of 3024 Graduands, with 29.2% being female and 70.8% male.
Prime Minister Dr. Eduard Ngirente was Guest of Honor in this ceremony, which was featured the first-ever cohort of Graduands receiving Bachelor’s degrees in Technologies (BTech).

In her welcome speech, Dr. Sylvie Mucyo, the Vice Chancellor of Rwanda Polytechnic welcomed all participants to the RP 7th Graduation and acknowledged the great work the Graduands have done that culminated into this very important.
The 7th Graduation of Rwanda Polytechnic bestow Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas upon the Graduands from all eight of its Colleges across the Country, namely: IPRC-Gishari, IPRC-Huye, IPRC-Karongi, IPRC-Kigali, IPRC-Kitabi, IPRC-Musanze, IPRC-Ngoma, and IPRC-Tumba.
The RP 7th graduation ceremony is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and achievements of the Graduate’s class of 2024, who have successfully completed their studies in various programs offered by Rwanda Polytechnic.
The Class of 2024 is distributed across 11 departments, namely: Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Creative Arts, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Forestry, Hospitality Management, Information & Communication Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Natural Conservation and Tourism.
For the first ever, Rwanda Polytechnic Awarded Bachelor of Technology (BTech) certificates to 72 Graduands who have fulfilled the academic requirements in Mechanical Engineering & Civil Engineering from IPRC-Kigali and IPRC-Huye both are the Colleges of RP respectively.
At this beautiful ceremony, it is customary recognize top achievers. On this occasion, awards were presented for the overall best project, the best project within each college, overall best female & the BTech best graduate in Automobile.
The Overall Best Project Award, worth 2 million, was presented to Manzi Karomba Nicolle & Mbanza Tuyishimire Richard from IPRC-Kigali while the award for the best female in Engineering was presented to Emeline Uwimpuhwe from IPRC-Gishari.
Nkubito Muhayeyezu Jean Olivier, a Graduate of IPRC-Kigali in Automobile Technology, has emerged as the best performer in Bachelor of Technology (BTech) program.
