RULINDO: TVET SCHOOL TRAINERS CARRY ON TRAINING ON TVET TRAINER CERTIFICATE COURSE –CBT/ CBA
With the support of Rwanda Polytechnic through a pilot project named “Support to
Vocational Training and Employment in Rulindo” funded by Agence Francaise de Development
(AFD) ; From Monday, 23rd August 2021 to 22nd September 2021, a TVET Trainer Certificate
Course is organized at Bushoki TVET School located in Rulindo District, Northern Province of
Rwanda.
This training has an objective of equipping TVET Trainers from APEKI Tumba TVET School, Buyoga TVET School, Kinihira TVET Schoool and Bushoki Tvet school with a set of competencies required to perform the occupational of a TVET Trainer as per Rwanda TVET Board requirement.
A number of 36 trainers from those 4 schools started face to face training (phase 2) which will focus on different modules such as plan competence based training, CBT session facilitation, Competency based assessment, evaluation of the learning process and Industrial attachment program for trainer.
The training has been organized to be conducted in 3 phases, the first phase was based on “Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) test or Dual Mode Training and has had 3 modules known as Communication in English, ICT skills and Trainer role in TVET system.
The third phase will be delivered through Dual Mode of Training and will have 8 modules namely Inclusive training, Continuous Professional Development, Career Guidance in TVET vocational area, Labor market Relations, Collaboration with stakeholders, Industrial Attachment Program for trainees, Entrepreneurial culture, Industrial Attachment Program for trainers and this phase will start from 4th October -21st November 2021.
