On 27^th January 2022, at RP Head Office, Rwanda Polytechnic (RP) and Rwanda Engineering &Manufacturing Corporation Ltd (REMCO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)with the aim of outlining an understanding on areas of cooperation and partnership between the Parties that leads to Skills Development through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Engineering and Manufacturing aspect with the initial intent being to equip students and staff from both parties with upgraded and practical skills in modern Engineering and Manufacturing techniques.

The MoU will define and find the required expertise to train and build capacity of both REMCO and RP staff and students; Find and select the appropriate staff profiles to be trained; Conduct various technical trainings for staff from both parties within available facilities from both parties; collaborate in search for training funding through their respective networks ; conduct research for development projects, inventions and innovations that will be of mutual interest to both parties; collaborate on commercial projects using available facilities upon agreed detailed framework and exchange of staff and students between REMCO and RP.
