CALL FOR APPLICATIONS TO STUDY IN NEW BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMS AT RWANDA POLYTECHNIC
The Government of Rwanda recognizes TVET as one of the central pillars of economic transformation and industrial development. The ministerial order N° 003/MINEDUC/2021 of 20/10//2021 determines the new Rwanda Qualification Framework which introduces additional qualification types of Bachelors of Technology (BTech) and Master of Technology (MTech) in TVET sub-sector that are meant to graduate highly competent work force. The graduates of these programs are expected to have strong technological and innovative ability to conceive, experiment, manipulate, prototype and deliver industrial concepts, products and services capable of catering to the evolving needs of society.
In addition to the seven BTech programs that started last year, the management of Rwanda Polytechnic is pleased to inform the public that fifteen new BTech programs will start this academic year. These programs are: (1) Geomatics (land surveying) (2) Highway technology; (3) Irrigation and drainage technology; (4) Water and sanitation technology; (5) Quantity surveying; (6) Crop production; (7) Agriculture mechanization technology; (8) Applied forestry; (9) Wildlife and landscape management; (10) Tourism management; (11) Animal health; (12) Mining technology; (13) Mechatronics technology; (14) Renewable energy; and (15) Electronics and telecommunication technology. These are the upgrading programs to the advanced diploma qualification and their duration is equivalent to one academic year.

Note: The BTech programs shall be offered on a full time (day) basis. The selection and admission of applicants will be based on their academic performance. If deemed necessary, the admission board may conduct entry examination.
